Cai CO2 ocean
observation Laboratory
(C.O.O.L.)

The C.O.O.L. (CO₂L) group, led by Professor Wei-Jun Cai, specializes in the marine and estuarine CO₂-carbonate cycle and the anthropogenic impacts on the system. The group resides at the University of Delaware at the College of Earth, Ocean, and Environment within the School of Marine Science and Policy.

About Us

We aspire to advance scientific community's collective knowledge on the ocean and estuarine CO₂-carbonate system through observational and modelling means. This insight will help us understand the current condition of our marine environment, especially for ocean acidification and hypoxia observations so policy makers and industry specialists can make informed decisions. We at C.O.O.L.(CO₂L) wish you a warm welcome as you browse through our accomplishments, our current goals, and our research potential.
